Welcome to Native Fiber Arts
My name is Lisa (Autumn Moon) Perreault, and I live in Connecticut. I am a member of the Mohegan Tribe and am happy to offer you authentic Native American hand-dyed fiber, hand-spun yarn, hand weavings, and other fiber related arts.
I feel it's important to share with you the steps taken in the process of dyeing, spinning yarn, weaving and knitting. From the sheep to the finished project. I own my own Blue Face Leicester sheep which allows me to be able to provide you with the best fibers from my own animals as well as from other local fiber animals. You will be able to get to know the sheep, alpaca and goats that your finished projects come from. I have even found a fiber artist in Maine that is raising her own silkworms so even the silk will come from right here in New England. By purchasing my items you are helping keep the small family farms that I work with in business, they couldn't do it without your support.
I am trying to incorporate all that was important to my Native American ancestors into what I am doing now. I look forward to sharing the cycle with you.
